Members Cars: Mike

Mike bought his car, a JBA Falcon Sports SRi, as a built car in 2013. He was seduced by its looks, with a design loosely based on the 1930s Jaguar SS1. As it was already finished to a high standard he’s not done much to it beyond a few minor improvements. Being Sierra-based with a 2L fuel-injected Pinto engine it is quite reliable and fairly economical to run. Rather than raw performance, the Falcon is about comfort, refinement and all-round usability.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Mike says, “for me, owning a kit car like this is primarily about driving something that’s different rather than as a long-term engineering project. I like the attention the car receives and most people think it is either an original 1930s roadster or a Morgan variant. Fortunately, Falcons don’t cost anything like a Morgan to buy!” – makes sense to me!
